| The World Likes to Go "Faster, Higher, Stronger" |
Athletics, as a typical discipline of the antique Greek culture, appeared for the first time in the pre-history, many centuries before the official establishment of the Olympic Games. Olympism historians claim that organized games and the Olympic ideal date back before 776 BC, the year when the Olympic Games were officially born.
The first athletic practice, which took place in Minoan Crete in the 2nd millennium BC, with the passing of time evolved into the Olympic Games. Yet, the sports which were exercised in pre-historic Greece had their predecessors in eastern civilizations, mainly Egypt, in the 3rd millennium B.C…. |

| The terra-cotta psalms of David |
Ceramic reliefs from Vinica belong to the group of the most authentic and original findings on Macedonian soil which is very rich in remarkable remains of material culture from the several millennia of history of this territory. These terra-cotta plaques, most often called icons according to the depicted content, are exceptional in many aspects. With their rustic performance and concise pictures, they are sublimated messages of the earliest Christian dogmas, presented in an arrangement that was never seen before. The authenticity of these archeological findings is also stengthened by the fact that they are the only composition from the early-Christian period in Macedonia which includes anthropomorphic pictures… |

| A Fishermen Cradle with Healing Powers |
Morning strolls on sandy beaches, sun-tanning and bathing in the warmest waters in the south part of the country which splash Greek shores on the other side, tasting domestic specialty dishes and the exquisite flavour of the Dojran carp, enjoying the lake silence, exercising sports on the lake shore and camping under the tops of centenarian trees are only part of the benefits offered by one of the three natural rarities in the country – the Dojran Lake. The west shore of the lake is home of two fishermen settlements – Star Dojran and Nov Dojran, which are getting closer to each other more and more, forming a natural union. Settled in the south-east part of the country, the Dojran area with its unique traditional way of fishing with cormorants was for many years a real attraction for visitors… |

Second Victorious Ilinden |
- At this moment, at this historic place - 'Holy Father Prohor Pcinjski', and on this historic day – Ilinden, when I announce the opening of the First Assembly of the National Antifascist Liberation Council of Macedonia (ASNOM), my soul is full of joy and infront of my tearful eyes I can see that all rivers, from Pcinja and Vardar to Mesta and Bistrica, started to flow vigorously and splash the entire Macedonian soil, trying to wash the 10 centuries of shame of the fall of Samuil's Kingdom from the Macedonian people, so that a new, shiny and free Macedonian state can be born.
With these words, spoken in a low and trembling voice, Panko Brasnarov, a teacher from Veles and the oldest member of the Initiative Board for Organization of the First Assembly of ASNOM, on August 2, 1944, at 17.45, opened the historic event which laid the foundation of the Macedonian state…

Tidings from Krusevo |
The beginning of a trip is the thought, the wish to make a new step, a step out of the machinery of everyday life. Pondering where I can find what the modern way of living can not offer to me while what it is offering to me exhausts me more and more every day, I made a decision to go to Krusevo. And I don't regret it. My mental folder is now enriched with new photographs, interesting stories, pleasant experience.
Folded like a nest in the Busova Mountain, Krusevo is a city at the highest altitude in the country and one of the highest altitudes in the Balkans. When you make the first step on Krusevo's soil, take a deep breath. Fill your chest with air of rare quality offered by the city which is settled at 1.250 metres above sea level and has no developed industry.
The second step is to forget about the modern elements of your everyday life: fast living, traffic jams, fashionable cafes, loud music, exclusive boutiques. Krusevo is a place where you can have your coffee at ease, take pleasure in the conversation, enjoy the "lokum" and other privileges…
